The surfbox is a touch device that targets kiosks. Users are allowed to print, scan and copy their documents in public places such as schools or libraries. The software communicates with various peripheral devices. Compared to scanners and printers, it also records the coins and notes. The print module doesn’t only use local printers. The surfbox communicates with the solution PrinterON cloud – the documents may be picked up by mobile phones or remote computers. The surfbox was developed in Java as a web application based on Vaadin Framework.
